Built over 400 years ago, the award winning 4 star Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel in West Yorkshire is steeped in history, charm and character. The country house hotel is owned and operated by the Metcalfe family for the last 18 years. Rogerthorpe Manor has 28 bedrooms and hosts 130 weddings per year which represents 60 - 70% of their business. They are conscious of the positive impact weddings have on the bottom line with ancillary spend by guests on the bar and accommodation.

Challenge

Since signing up to the The Wedding Method in 2019, Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel has seen a dramatic improvement in the time between a couple enquiring and them signing the contract. Actively using the system to manage their enquiries from all sources, they use the showround request plugin on their website to drive showround appointments with couples. Using WedMail as their main communication tool with couples, the average open rate for emails is 70.5%, improving their ghosting stats. Last year their conversion rate from enquiry to booking was 18% and this increased to 38% on Showround to booking. All these metrics are tracked in their WedPro dashboard, so they know exactly how they are doing at any point in time.

Solution

During the pandemic year of 2021, The Wedding Method delivered 754 Digital Brochures to couples, posted out 186 Brochures and handwritten notes and the team in Rogerthorpe hosted 186 Showrounds, which resulted in 53 Bookings. This was worth £206,685 in revenue from the couples themselves with significant additional revenue from guest accommodation and bar spend on top of that. Overall, they have achieved a 2196% Return on their Investment in the Wedding Method.
