Hatton Court Hotel is one of the most premium wedding venues in the Cotswolds. Given the popularity of the area and the higher than average price point of their product, conversion from show around to confirmed weddings was lower than target at under 30%. The suspicion was that many of the brides and grooms visiting the venue hadn’t been fully pre-qualified on the price point, resulting in a great amount of wasted time engaging with enquirers who didn’t have a suitable budget.

Challenge

As part of The WeddingDates Method approach, we implemented an FAQ video page which all enquirers were directed to. These short 30-40 second videos answered all of the commonly asked questions about the price point and what’s included with the various wedding packages. The FAQ webpage effectively provided a digital and scalable means in which the venue could communicate its key information without utilising internal resource.

Solution

Since the campaign went live in September 2019, Hatton Court Hotel has received 15 show around appointments, of which 11 have proceed to book. This has taken their conversion rate to a huge 73%, whilst simultaneously seeing an increase in deposits taken during the same period last year.
